Bass Guitar

Jeff Moles joined Legally Blue in 2022. Jeff is a multi-instrumentalist who primarily plays electric and upright bass in the South Bay Area, but occasionally trumpet/flugelhorn when the tune calls for it.

Originally from the Chicago area, Jeff is a veteran of diverse working Chicago-area bands including Hit List Rock & Soul Revue (high-end corporate band), the H Allan Band (80s rock), The Grips (classic 60s/70s rock), and Altered Rhythm Society (groove-jazz originals trio).
In 2013, Jeff moved to the Bay Area where he got involved in the jam scene playing everything from Chicago blues to southern rock to disco hits. Through these jam sessions, Jeff met musicians who found him to be a reliable, versatile sub for gigs, including a fun casino gig with blues artist Max Cabello Jr.  Recently, Jeff has played with Scotch and Soda (retro modern jazz duet/trio), Yoshi Senzaki Blues Band, Otilia Donaire (blues/rock), and various small jazz situations.

He has in the past held the bass role in local California groups Modern Love (80s+ rock and pop),  Jill Dineen & the Chiltones (blues), Knee Deep (blue-eyed rock & soul), Cadillac Jack (Classic R&B, blues, rock & pop), and Lea & Co (jazz standards trio).
